PinkFest 2025 Concludes with a Grand Celebration of Jaipur’s Culture, Color, and Creativity

Jaipur, February 24: The three-day PinkFest – Culture Design Festival 2025, a vibrant celebration of Jaipur’s iconic pink heritage, concluded at the Rajasthan International Centre with resounding success. The festival brought together a stellar gathering of over 140 speakers, 300+ artists, and participants from more than 37 universities, design institutions, and architect colleges transforming Jaipur into a living canvas of art, culture, and creative dialogue.
The event featured more than 400 artworks, 40 panel sessions, and an eclectic mix of live art camps, culture ramp walks, classical and folk music, storytelling sessions, and traditional classical dance, including mesmerizing Kathak performances from the Jaipur gharana.
According to Satyajeet Talukdar, Founder-Director of PinkFest, this cultural confluence welcomed eminent figures such as Padama shri Prof. Bharat Gupt (an Indian classicist, theatre theorist, cultural analyst), Sanjeev Kumar Goutam (Director General National Gallery of Modern Art), Narmada Prasad Upadhyay (Renowned writer, author, art Historian), famed Odyssey dancer Rila Hota, Bhargav Mistry, Artist Lakshmi Krishnamurthy, Arpana Kaur, N.K. Bhaskaran, Dharmendra Rathore, Ashwini K. Prithvivasi, Prerna Shrimali, Dr. Achal Pandey, Prof. Shailendra Singh Kushwaha, Prof. Vijay Mishra, Dr. Clement Baengkun (South Korea), Soozan Batu, and Gul Ligaz (Turkey), among many luminaries from the worlds of literature, art, dance, and theatre.
A Grand Opening and Thoughtful Conversations
The session ‘Narrativity in Indian Arts’ was another interesting one where Padma Shri Bharat Gupta said: ‘All arts are woven together by a single thread of emotion which gives humanity its soul. ’ Narmada Prasad Upadhyay, Lakshmi Krishnamurthy and Dr. Tulika Gupta were also a part of the discussion.
Another session ‘The Concept of the Creative Process’ talked about the significance of colours in Indian art. “Colors are the source of curiosity; through them an artist pours emotions on the canvas, ” said artist R Ramanand. Rakesh Vyas, Sudesh Sharma, Prof. Sangeet Pillai and Neeki Chaturvedi were on the panel.
A Feast of Art and Literature
Pinkfest 2025 also features an exhibition curated by artist Dharmendra Rathore which showcases over 400 paintings by 100 artists from India and countries like Brazil, Norway, Australia, Turkey and England, depicting Rajasthan’s art, culture, and heritage. Indian artists include P. N. Choyal, Lakshmi Krishnamurthy, Shridhar Ayyar, Mukesh Salvi, RB Gautam, Bhawani Shanker Sharma, KR Subhana, Jayant Parikh, Subhash Chand, Amit Kalla, Kush Mali, Ritik Patel, Abhishek Sharma, Suraj Patel, Mohammed Salim among others.
The first day also witnessed the launch of two books by Bodhi Prakashan. Chutki Bhar, a poetry collection by Madhu Saxena and Milunga Tumhe, also a poetry collection by Manish Pareek, were launched at a gathering of eminent writers, publishers and literature lovers, where the discussions were as interesting as the books.
Highlights of the second day included the ‘Tana-Bana’ culture walk, 'Srishti Mandapam' art pavilion, the ‘Picasso’ design exhibition, 'Anugunj' — a live classical Dagar Gharana performance, and ‘Author’s Corner’ which provided a rich space for literary exchange. Poetry recitations on the theme “Dhai Akhar Prem Ke” added emotional depth to the day’s cultural tapestry.
The final day featured critical dialogues on topics like India’s Knowledge Traditions, India vs. Bharat, The Aesthetics of the Invisible, Art as a Medium for the Unseen Through visual metaphor, In Between the Iconic and the Uniconic, A Journey to Abstraction
Interrelationship of different art formsand and Jaipur – Our Pink Heritage, alongside a children's play 'Albela Gaon' and classical dance performances including 'Nrityatman' and 'Navapallav', which captivated the audience.
A major milestone at this year’s festival was the inauguration of the Savita Mali Art Innovation Annual Award, instituted in memory of the late art connoisseur Savita Mali. The first award was presented to Gayatri Sharma, a gifted classical music artist. Speaking about the award, Bharat Mali announced that future entries would be invited annually through online submissions, aiming to recognize exceptional talent in art and literature.
Participation of top premium Design institutions
Prominent design and art institutions such as Visva-Bharati Santiniketan Kolkata, Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata, Kolkata Art College, Art College Maharaja Sayajirao University,Baroda, JJ School of Arts Mumbai (Alumina Group Show) , Banaras Hindu University, and Delhi College of Art showcased outstanding exhibitions that added depth and diversity to the festival.
