The grand inauguration of this cultural art festival was conducted by Padmashri Bharat Gupt, Vice Chairman, National School of Drama, Padmashri Shyam Sunder Sharma, Shri Narmada Prasad Upadyay, Ms. Nidhi Chaudhury, IAS, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Ms. Ruchika Jajotia, Festival Mentor Prof. Chinmay Mehta, Festival Convener Bhawani Shankar Sharma, India Pinkest Founder Satyajeet Talukdar, along with esteemed artists lit the ceremonial lamp.

Jaipur, February 6, 2026 – The 5th edition of PinkFest, a culture design festival dedicated to the historical and cultural richness of the Pink City, Jaipur, commenced grandly at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC). The first day witnessed a unique confluence of art, music, literature, and dialogue, with distinguished artists, writers, and speakers from across the country and abroad participating. The festival showcased the beauty of imagination through paintings, insightful discussions on various aspects of art and culture, theatrical performances, cultural walk and melodious musical presentations, captivating the audience.

Inaugural Ceremony and Key Sessions

The grand inauguration of this cultural art festival was conducted by Padmashri Bharat Gupt, Vice Chairman, National School of Drama, Padmashri Shyam Sunder Sharma, Shri Narmada Prasad Upadyay, Ms. Nidhi Chaudhury, IAS, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Ms. Ruchika Jajotia, Festival Mentor Prof. Chinmay Mehta, Festival Convener Bhawani Shankar Sharma, India PinkFest Founder Satyajeet Talukdar, along with esteemed artists lit the ceremonial lamp.


The session on 'Kala Sastra : Material Experimentation and Artistic Transformation' featured distinguished speakers Padmashri Bharat Gupta, Vice Chairman, National School of Drama, Prof. (Dr.) Ramesh C. Gaur, Dean/ Director IGNCA and moderated by Ms. Prerna Shrimali sharing their perspectives. During session Padmashri Bharat Gupta, Vice Chairman, National School of Drama said Pinkfest is not the festival of colors or lines its festival of Growth and New Development in every sector.

Over 300 + Eminent Artist Art Exhibition

Under the curation of renowned artist Dharmendra Rathore and festival Director Satyajeet Talukdar, the festival is exhibiting over 400 paintings by more then 100 international and national artists. These paintings beautifully encapsulate the essence of Rajasthan’s art, culture, and heritage. The exhibition features renowned artists from Brazil, Norway, Australia, and England, along with Indian artists such as Padma Shri Shyam Sharma, Adela, Pares, Netaliya, Rusia, Rinku Debdas, Manoj dharekar, Ramesh Bhosle, Smarati Joshi, Kp Singh Gwalior Sona Jamal, Kishore Sing, Sridhar Iyer, Mukesh Salvi, R.B. Gautam, K.R. Subhana, Jayant Parikh, Subhash Chand, and Kush Mali.


One of the significant features of this exhibition was the participation of artists from Shanti Niketan Alumni Group, Shakuntala University, Lucknow, M.S. University Baroda, and Banaras Hindu University, along with Kalaneeri Art Gallery, Doro Art Gallery, and Chitra Bhoomi Art Gallery. Through their involvement, artworks from various states and international contexts were brought together on a common platform.

These galleries provided the exhibition with a global perspective, where Indian art, while remaining rooted in its traditions, was seen engaging in dialogue with the world.

During this occasion, the research journal “Sahityayan” was formally released on the stage of India Pinkfest–2026.


Major Attractions of Day One

The inaugural day featured several exciting events, including live art camps, cultural ramp walk "Tana Bana" , theatrical performances “Do Akeli” theater, Padanyas Kathak, classical singing and instrumental performances, folk music, poetry sessions "Safarnama" by Mazils Group, Open Mike Live and live story narration. Additionally, art exhibitions showcased the richness of Indian artistic traditions.


Upcoming Activities

The first day of PinkFest 2026 offered a splendid blend of colors, rhythm, emotions, and words, providing Jaipurites and visitors with an enriching cultural experience and setting the stage for the upcoming two days.


The second day will feature an Panel Discussion on Bharat ki Baat Bharat ke Saath with prominent guest Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Culture, Government of India, Dr. Satish Ponia, Ex State President, BJP, Odisii Dance: Therapeutics Aesthetic Metaphysics by Shri V. Shrinivas, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan, Padma Bhushan Vishva Mohan Bhatt and much more art exhibition, cultural walk, Picasso exhibition, 'Shringaar' (a special performance), and live stage performances, promising another day of artistic brilliance.

I visited all three days, it was an amazing experience to be at the fest...such confluence, creativity, culture display...damn good...
